Pringle Building Services Ltd were actively involved in all aspects of the build from the very beginning of this project, from contributing to suggestions of the design to meet customer expectations whilst carefully considering the surrounding area and relevant planning permissions needed for the works, to the final snagging items being signed off.
Throughout the build the Managing Director worked closely with the customer, Site Manager and Interior Designer to make sure the customers expectations were exceeded and the project deadlines were met.
The works were complete by the various skilled tradesmen that Pringle Building Services Ltd employs and it is their experience, attention to detail and professionalism that contributed to this project running so successfully. This combined with the support from the efficient office staff meant that the customer could relax knowing everything was in our capable hands .
The property in Jesmond Dene has been significantly extended on two storeys to the gable and rear elevation, linked on the ground floor with a light and spacious Orangery.
The roof was stripped back, extended and recovered with red clay tiles and bonnet hips. A new double garage block was built under new red clay tiles which compliments the design details of the main house. The exisitng basement has been transformed into a stunning open plan area suitable for a cinema room/gym. All existing new UPVC windows were removed and replaced with quality timber.
All new materials were selected to give a traditional feel which enhanced and preserved the character and setting of the conservation area.
Internally the new elements connect the existing spaces seamlessly. All existing rooms have been updated, with new kitchen, dining area, family/games room, three new bedrooms with en-suites being created within the additional space creating a magnificent 6 bedroom family home.
The generous open plan area formed by the side and rear extension offer flexible living spaces which can be adapted depending on the end users requirements.
Links between the garden and new areas at the rear are created with large areas of glazing. A large glazed lantern, bi-fold and French doors provide a greater connection to the external space.
The end product has created a bespoke luxurious home that both affords a traditional feel within the Jesmond Dene conservation area and contemporary style of the clients design belief.
